Aren’t we all just tired of acting stronger than we actually are? Well, I am.

We have all heard about “not giving a damn about people” but that isn’t as easy, admit it. We do give a damn and we do get damn frustrated.

But, we don’t have to bear with everything around us when we could simply block and chill.

When things are going haywire in our lives, we tend to look at others’ lives assuming how rosy their lives are whilst we are standing in a puddle. I think, that we must block any external element that bothers us without feeling bad about it.

Now there are two ways to go about it:

  1. Blocking people online

It’s alright to embrace others' accomplishments but it is also alright to block such people if their accomplishments are making us anxious about ours. Blocking somebody doesn’t necessarily mean that we dislike them, it simply means that, at the moment, we do not want to see what’s happening in others' lives probably because we are too stuck up with ours.

It is not about the people but the situations.

2. Blocking people off-line

Sometimes, we have more disturbing elements outside social media that are harder to block. They could be our neighbors, family, friends, or colleagues, and whilst most of them care about us, some cause us equal amounts of stress as well, but we don’t know how to block them out of our lives.

Well, we could start by spending less time with such people. We could do this by avoiding common places to meet up, avoiding their calls & texts, ignoring what they say, basically, by excluding them from your lives in every way possible, temporarily.

The reason I am saying temporarily is that this is about random people in our lives that we don’t have anything against but the current situations have made even the most normal things tougher for us.

We all go through such phases when we feel insecure about some aspects of our lives and give in to the negative emotions. During such times, we hear, see, and feel everything 2x as what it actually is, ending up feeling anxious and stressed.

Yet, we pretend to be strong and unfazed by everything just because we think that we are only supposed to block people that we are not on good terms with but that isn’t the case, we could block everything out of our lives that make us feel even a tiny bit uncomfortable without feeling guilty and whilst we do that, we could truly focus on sorting our life without any external influences.

So, what are you waiting for, go out and do it!
